    Dj RX (Rex Hubanks)

was born in the great state of California in 1979. His parents moved to beautiful Arizona shortly after. Growing up in Flagstaff and Cottonwood he didn’t start playing on the decks till '97. A friend introduced him to an unusual sound he called "Techno". It was a Dr. Psychosis tape that featured several different genres of this, so called, "Techno" music, what an incredible compilation.

At that moment Rex was hooked for life. He bought a pair of Technics 1200’s and a cheap Gemini mixer and gave it his best shot, only to fall short. Thanks to some good friends, Steve Konkel and Matt Spangler (DJ Matty at London West Records), to show him the ropes, he was spinning and making CD’s in no time. Staying a bedroom DJ for a few years, Rex never spun records out in public much until he ran into local DJ Cameron McWilliams. Cameron helped him realize how much fun it is to rock the party live! Now it seems Rex can't get enough, he’s been playing and being a part of the party almost every weekend.

Now with the inclusion of the T-Rx soundsystem, an ever growing PA entity, it’s only going to get better. Rex says, “It's like an addiction to me, I love to want it! I need more though... more people dancing... more people to feel the music... more people to broaden their palette for the vast variety of different types of music out there in the world today!” Rex has been playing in the Cottonwood area and several gigs across Arizona nearly every weekend. With great friends and new faces to create a positive atmosphere, everyone can enjoy DJ RX.

Steve Konkel Producer/DJ

When one thinks of electronic music they either think of great dance floor movers or of deep musical pieces that demand careful listening. It is a rare and masterful task to accomplish music that encompasses both. This is where Steve Konkel comes in. With early influences as diverse as Rush and Pink Floyd to DJs in Dance music like Simply Jeff and DJ Dan, his appreciation of music runs deep.

In 2008, with nearly two decades of electronic music production under his belt, Steve took his love for producing EDM to the next level with his signing to Soundfreq Music at its inception. This allowed him to share his music with the masses for the first time and quickly earned him a growing base of fans worldwide.

A long way from the simple Alesis drum machine and keyboard workstation programming that started his passion for production, this artist has found himself behind the decks DJing from time to time. "It's really cool to see the music actually hit the dance floor," commented Steve in his home studio surrounded by computer monitors, microphones, midi controllers, and vintage and modern synths. "I call this the "FreqShop", the announces with a chuckle.

While the future is bright for this rising producer, he still openly acknowledges his musical roots and influences. When others have cited him as their influence, he simply brushes them off with a coy humbleness. It quickly becomes clear his drive will not allow him to be satisfied no matter how great his accomplishments. Steve Konkel is here to stay.

Nate Metro DJ/Producer

A nearly twenty year turntable veteran and the son of a Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame nominee, Nate cut his teeth in the Seattle club/warehouse scene of the 1990s. He quickly moved on to hold multiple residencies not only in his hometown of Seattle, but also in Vancouver, BC, and in Salt Lake City, UT. After performing for thousands of people in almost every western state including Hawaii, Nate has learned to read crowds and respond musically.

"People have been trying to label my style for a long time. The truth is I will play whatever is right for the event and still mash different styles to keep it interesting. I guess I don't care about those things."

As a hungry student, Nate lugged his records all over Seattle via public transit. Thus his friends dubbed him Nate "Metro" after the name of the bus system. Eventually, in addition to being a DJ, Nate went into recording and production. But his roots are definitely in DJ’ing. Nate knows there is nothing like connecting with a few thousand people at once. He moved to Sedona from Seattle in late 2003. Since that time he has started a family and become deeply involved in production with intentions of performing near and far with his visual partner Söss.

2009 was ushered in with a remix project for Shush Music (Hyphy Reggae by the artist Yacek). Shortly thereafter Nate inked a new deal with Steve Konkel and the SoundFreq Music family. With the first release, "Eat Meat", doors continue to open for this always changing and growing artist.
